Countries Visited
This is a list of countries that I've visited.
During the compilation of the list, there was a debate about what constitutes visiting a country? Is it sufficient to just be on the soil of a country? In which case, can you count embassies? Or do you have to spend significant time there? Then, what counts as significant?
Perhaps the most likely event to occur, these days, is to land at an airport of a country and to simply transit, as I have done in Rwands, for example. But I feel this isn't "visiting" a country. So, that wouldn't make my list. Instead, I decided you need to undertake an activity in a country and spend at least one night outside of an airport hotel for it to count.
Lastly, what do you do about countries that no longer exist? I've included both Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia becuase I visited both of those countries when they were called that, but not, say, Zanzibar which was an independent country before 1964 and I didn't visit until much later.

- Czechoslovakia
- East Germany - Technically West Germany no longer exists either, but I've counted that as Germany
- Tibet
- Yugoslavia
I've been to many more Extinct Countries, which you'll find here, but for the purposes of this list, I've only included them if they were a country in their own right when I visited them, only for them to become extinct afterwards
